Passenger and luggage screening

All passengers boarding vessels undergo full security checks. These include verification of identity, screening of personal belongings and metal detector screening to prevent weapons and explosive or incendiary devices being brought on board.

All personal belongings, luggage, cargo and ship’s stores are scrutinized vigorously by security personnel prior to their acceptance on board vessels.

Screening prevents smuggling of weapons, explosives and other illicit material that could endanger the safety or security of the passengers, crew and vessel.
